2007 WHERE WERE THE BLOCKBUSTERS?

I love watching the academy awards, especially when one of my favorite movies is up for Best Picture and I try to see all the nominee movies so I can judge fairly. However, try as I might I just couldn't get through the films this year. A couple of them I only watched about the first 15 minutes of, till I just got so bored, I had to stop. I like the actors and actresses but the stories were lacking.

We need some new ideas, new stories, new scripts and maybe some new directors. Movies are very important to a lot of people. They provide a release, a mini low-cost vacation, and we need to be wowed and sometimes awed for the little time we invest in them.
