GHOST SHIP

The scene in this movie that made my jaw drop was at the beginning. It takes place on a cruise ship and the people are dressed up in suits and uniforms and the ladies in beautiful gowns. They are dancing as couples and having a wonderful evening. All of a sudden a very thin but strong wire snaps off the ship and whips across the dance floor. It slices through the dancers and anyone else walking or standing in the area. The thing I found so realistic is the way the actors portrayed the event. Although they were sliced in pieces, it took a while for the bodies to react and start shutting down. The first thing you notice is the look of shock and surprise on their faces, and then very slowly the pieces of them start to fall to the floor. They are sliced so quickly that they don't even know what has happened to them. The scene is very shocking and intense. It's worth seeing the movie for this scene alone.
