The Lake House is definitely a chick flick, a romance film, and not everyone's cup of tea. However it wins points on this site, not only for the wonderful cast of Reeves and Bullock, but because this glass house was built very near my home. In fact I take that road through that forest everyday to work, along Maple Lake and saw some of the film being made as far as their outdoor and woods shots. The local sheriffs department closed and guarded the tiny road to the pier where the house stood, but I could see it from across the lake. They did tear it back down after the movie was completed, what a shame!
The movie did hold it's own for those of us who happen to like romance films, as for me it was a must see.
